MISSION
The TXIPA aims to facilitate the creation, protection, and enablement of intellectual property.
OUR MISSION
Texas IP Alliance (TXIPA) believes that innovation and intellectual property protection are critical assets that drive robust economic growth and improve social well-being in Texas and throughout the county. We also believe that issues positively and negatively impacting intellectual property are global, national and local, but are not well understood by those outside of the current intellectual property ecosystem. To address these challenges, we believe that an additional voice that is inclusive of all existing and yet to exist viewpoints is needed to ensure improved creation, protection, and enablement of intellectual property in Texas – for all Texans – from the grassroots level on up.

The TXIPA is the Texas chapter of the US IP Alliance (USIPA). Like the USIPA, the TXIPA is about intellectual property awareness and education. The goal of the TXIPA is to bring awareness to what intellectual property is to a wide audience, explain why it is important to our state and national economy, and show how all Texans from all walks of life can play a role in the creation and protection of intellectual property for the betterment of all Texans and our country. TXIPA will work to build a knowledgeable, diverse, and wide-reaching group of intellectual property stakeholders by integrating intellectual property training and skills development into K-12, university, and other education curricula across the state, in addition to undertaking public outreach and education across the state, and working with relevant local and statewide elected officials.
TXIPA will be the role model for supporting and educating all current, future and potential intellectual property stakeholders and policymakers, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status, especially those that are underrepresented. TXIPA seeks to include diverse perspectives and backgrounds to foster a more robust and inclusive intellectual property system in Texas and across the nation. As the Texas chapter of the USIPA, TXIPA is designed to bring together and further advance existing groups within the Texas intellectual property landscape and to assist in the development of future stakeholders, with an emphasis on education and inclusion.
The TXIPA is comprised of passionate professionals throughout the Texas business ecosystem: creators, protectors, and enablers of intellectual property in government, industry, education, and elsewhere.
